Bible Passages:
- Matthew 8: 11, 12 - Many people from East and West will sit with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
- Noble character of the centurion (Matthew 8: 5 to 10)
- He pitied on this servant. Consider the poor and you will be a blessed man (Psalm 41: 1)
- He humbled himself
- He considered himself unworthy
- He had great faith in God
- Some gentiles who had very noble characters that made them worthy to sit with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
- Nicodemus (John 3: 1 to 3) - He was a Pharisee, ruler of the Jews
- Pride in his heart
- Did not want to be seen by others
- But after his interaction with Jesus he was a changed man and stood for Jesus even His own disciples betrayed Him.
- Zacchaeus (Luke 19: 1 - 9) - He was a tax collector
- He had a desire to see Jesus
- He was a tax collector and others considered him to be a sinner.
- But he humbled himself to Jesus and was saved that very day.
- Cornelius (Acts 10) - He was also a centurion, gentile
- He was a devout man
- Feared God with all his house
- Gave much alms
- Prayed to God always
- Just man
- Good report among all the nation of the Jews
- Obedience
- Humility and fear of God will bring riches, honour and life (Proverbs 22: 4)
- God accepted and anointed him
- Nicodemus (John 3: 1 to 3) - He was a Pharisee, ruler of the Jews
- Who will be accepted by God? - Acts 10: 35
- But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
