Bible Passage: Deuteronomy 16: 19

Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.

Knowing that the people of God (Israelites) were going to inherit the promised land,  Moses their chosen leader gave these regulations to them to follow in that land.

Even here spiritually there are 2 worlds:
This world that is ruled by Satan
Kingdom of God

The Israelites were once under the pharaoh's regime. But God delivered them and they started to move to the promised land. Likewise we were also, under the control of Satan in this world that is under his control. But God delivered us from slavery, redeemed us, we were saved and we were brought to the kingdom of God and going towards the promised land. So even though we live in this wicked world, we are in the kingdom of God.

Therefore, we should not have the Egyptians' ways, styles, fashions and cultures.

As Paul said to Colossians, God has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. We are now in the kingdom of His dear Son.

Therefore, we have different ethics (Esther 3: 8). We have to keep our spiritual standard and our identity.

So we who are in the Kingdom of God will have to follow the 3 regulations
1. Thou shalt not wrest judgment - Never take vindictive action against anyone. Have a heart to forgive  others
2. Thou shall not show partiality - If we love others we will wink at a lot of their mistakes.
3. Never receive Bribe
Be upright to receive blessings. Do whatever God says. God never leaves us unblessed.
eg: Elijah looked only at God,
Gehazi looked and received gifts from man ( II King. 5: 21 - 24)
Where God blesses us, He never adds sorrow with it.

Proverbs 28: 20 - A faithful man shall abound with blessings.Help the servants of God, poor, little ones. Then we will be appreciated by God. He is our rewarder. What ever we need, though there might be a slight delay, He will provide us at the appointed time abundantly.
