Bible Passage: Psalm 50: 5
What is the expectation of the church? What is the expectation of Jesus about the church?
He wants you to be with Him in the mid-sky. So He says,
"Gather my saints together unto me, those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice" (Psalm 50: 5)
Reasons why church of God (we) has made a covenant with God are:
- He has loved you with an everlasting love and has drawn you unto Him with His loving kindness. (Jeremiah 31: 3) --> Decide to love only Him
- He has sealed you with His Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 1: 13)
- He has given you the Spirit of adoption with which you can call Him Abba Father. (Romans 8: 31)
If you surrender, lean on His arms and trust His power, He will purify, make you white and He will try you. (Daniel 12: 10)
Though the heaven and earth may pass, His Words will not fail. (Matthew 5: 18)
His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue: (2 Peter 1: 3)
This means He will give you all things that pertain to the life in this world and also for the eternal life through the power of the Holy Spirit.
He has sealed you for His kingdom.
