Bible Passage: Matthew 18: 35; James 2: 13 - Forgive your brother his trespasses
- Humble yourself as little children to enter the kingdom of heaven (Mt. 18: 2- 4)
- Never offend anyone (Mt. 18: 6)
- Don't despise anybody (Mt. 18: 10)
- If your brother trespasses against you, speak to him when he is alone. If he does not accept, take 2 or 3 people and speak to him. If he still does not agree, take him to the church and talk to him. If he still disagrees then treat him as a heathen or tax collector (this implies you should depart from him and have no association with him). (Mt. 18: 15 - 17)
- Forgive your brother seventy times seven (Mt. 18: 21 - 24
- Forgive your brother for your sins to be forgiven (Mt. 6: 12)
When Jesus was on the cross, His final words were, 'Father, forgive them for they know not what they do' (Luke 23: 34). We should also emanate this character of Jesus.
